Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick

I got the Vimu player to work OK in the end, just needed to understand the interface a little better!

It's a bit rough around the edges, but it works.

iTunes Graphics Card Issues

Hi, It is well documented that there is an issue with iTunes running with "Older" graphics cards and the workaround is to install the special version as described here. What I am struggling with though is trying to work out what Graphics cards are supported i.e.. what constitutes a "new" graphics ca...

Re: Windows 10 Support?

Problem solved!

Once the account is linked to the Microsoft account, so is the password. So the password for my user ID is no longer the windows password, but the Microsoft account password.

Maybe a schoolboy error, but something others may well experience in upgraded systems?

Re: Windows 10 Support?

Windows 10 Update. I linked my User account to my Microsoft account and enabled a pin number to log in instead of password. This has caused some issue. Basically the IHS Service wont start due to a log on failure, presumably this is caused because the account now has the pin code enabled. The challe...

Re: Windows 10 Support?

I have installed Windows 10 (I cloned my system to test this) and so far everything is working OK. I did need to repair the IHS Install and once I had done this it loaded and is managing the iTunes service and advertising the DLNA service just fine. I have not tried any of the other functions such a...

Windows 10 Support?

As per the subject. Will the current version run on Windows 10 (has it been tested yet?) Or is there an upgrade plan?

Many thanks,

Steve

Re: Problem with DLNA on Sony BDV-E380

Hi there, Sorry for not responding sooner, have moved house since and everything has been a bit busy. So, you are correct, this did used to work, if i remember correctly it ceased to work following a re-install of IHS. This is not such a big issue as I have a Humax PVR connected also and this can ac...

Problem with DLNA on Sony BDV-E380

Hi I have a Sony BDV-E380 BluRay Home theatre system and it cannot see the iHomeserver DLNA Client. I can confirm that it works fine as I can access it from various Windows 7 Devices on my network. Any ideas why this does not work?

Windows Media Player can't see the iHomeServer DLNA Service

I have set up the DLNA Server for iHomeServer and I can see this from most devices on my network (Mobile phone, PS3, BlueRay Player etc.) but my laptop with Window Media Player cannot see it? It can see just the Windows Media Server DLNA Service. Please advise on how to get this visible to Windows M...

Re: Does iHomeServer/iTunes support jpg's or tiff's?

This is a feature that I would like to see too.

At the moment, I have to leave the Media Server running just to serve pictures whiles I have the iHomeServer DLNA Server for Music and Movies. It would be great to have just one DLNA Server on my network!

Brows Movies by Genre (or other attributes) from DLNA Server

Hi, Now I have upgraded to the latest version of iHomeServer I have been comparing the DLNA Server for iTunes compared with the in build media server driven option. One thing I have noticed is that I cannot browse the Movies by Genre or other available attributes in the same way that I can using the...
