Re: Which versions of iTunes are compatible with iHomeServer

Ralph - the issue you are getting looks more like a system config error because our WHS iTunes Helper util can't run JavaScript on your system. Please have a look at the following article on how to resolve it. We've had a user in the past with a similar issue and he resolved it following the Window...

Re: Which versions of iTunes are compatible with iHomeServer

Anyone? I was trying to update iTunes to 12.0.1.26 on my whs v1 system. iTunes installer detects unsupported system for AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi and quits. When I tried iTunesHelper, either method, I get an error: CScript Error: Can't find script engine "JScript" for script: C:\Documents ... \tm...

Re: Which versions of iTunes are compatible with iHomeServer

If you are running WHS v1 and you have any problems installing iTunes, would recommend using the our WHS iTunes Helper as it gets around the 'requires Windows XP SP2' issue with the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi However, pls note that you can run our install helper in one of two ways - either point ...

iTunes 11.4 update problem

On a related note, I updated to 3.1.71.0 iHomeServer on my whs v1 machine - no issues. I then proceeded to update iTunes (as I have done with previous versions) to 11.4. After the download process I received an error (didn't catch it - could not proceed and suggested downloading and installing manua...

Re: iTunes Media Folder / Watch Folders

A quick follow-up on this issue. I went back into iTunes and toggled the relevant settings. Everything started behaving correctly with music files now being placed under the Music subfolder under iTunes. It has been several months now with no further problems.

Re: iTunes Media Folder / Watch Folders

I imported another album folder in interactive mode. In fact it also placed the contents directly under the ITunes Media Folder, which is strange. I am running iTunes 11.1.5.5. The ITunes Media Folder is a share called iTunes on my whs v.1 server. Under that are the standard Books, Music, Movies, Do...

Re: iTunes Media Folder / Watch Folders

Hi, Thanks for your response to my question. I double checked both options (keep iTunes media folder organized and Copy files to ... library). They are both checked. My understanding of the configuration is as you have described, which is why I was surprised that new music which I had placed in the ...

iTunes Media Folder / Watch Folders

Recent versions of iTunes create certain standard subfolders under the specified iTunes Media Folder. For music, which is my primary interest, ripped titles and/or imported files & folders are placed by default in the "Music" folder under the iTunes Media Folder. Hence I have a large library of musi...
