Some files not indexing

are there certain types of files that don't get indexed? i have the ffmpeg setup, but notice not all the file types seem to be indexing. do aiff files not get indexed? i thought that's what turning on the ffmpeg option then allowed. the ffmpeg and mymedia software has been updated too.

When ffmpeg is installed and enabled, the following file types are indexed:

.mp3
.m4a
.m4b
.flac
.wma
.aif
.ogg
.wav

When indexing completes, the status of the Watch Folder should go to 'Serving' - in your case, is it stuck at 'Indexing' with the counter not increasing?

actually i was writing because of the number on the right in my first screenshot. the number on the left is the correct approx number of files in the music library, and it does end up being the completed indexed number once it's done running. but what was the 62634 number while it was indexing? and yes, the 50k number did stay at what you saw on the left in the screenshot, when done indexing. why the 12k variance while it was indexing?

my new question is about the hd audio library i have that i chose to add as a watch folder and is not part of the above library. many of these songs in this hd music library are high bit rates. this library shows 2389 songs in itunes, but only shows 148 being indexed. the files types in this library are aiff audio file (2241), apple lossless audio file (133), and wav audio files (15). based on that count, it appears it's the aiff audio files that won't index. i guess the aif type in your reply, isn't the same as my aiff? any chance the aiff will be added to your list of file types that index? see link below & 2 attached screen shots.

Also having an issue with .aiff files. It has indexed only a few of just over 6k files.

The issue is the file extension is .aiff whereas My Media looks for .aif. We are fixing this and will update shortly

OK, for us slower folks....
What are we suppose to do once we've downloaded and extracted the correct file?

Which OS are you using? NOte there was a typo in the Windows download link, now corrected. You should just repeat the install process as per a fresh install, however, My Media will just upgrade and keep all your watch folders/settings in place.

OK! Yes, I'm running Win64. That seems to have worked. Thought I was loosing it.
Thanks for the update.

Also getting this problem now - first problem was MAC running hot with 99% CPU. Tried to uninstall and then tried a fresh install but not it will not index all of the tracks - gets stuck approx halfway through.

Tried adding multiple watch folders but still doesnt get past a certain point to index the rest of my library.

Forced quit the program and reopened but still stuck on trigger rescan.

FFMPEG is fully installed?

Any ideas please?
