I have a large collection of MP3 music stored on a shared drive on a Windows 2016 Essentials Server. When I install My Media for Alexa on this server it links to my Amazon account Ok and scans and indexs the songs correctly but when I ask alex to play any song I get silence after Alexa announces its about to plyy the song. The firewall settings on the server are correct the remote console works from another computer on the domain but when you review the messages on the console it states an unknown media error for every track. If I then unlink that instance of My media and install My Media on another computer on the same domain mapping the same music from the same drive on the server it works perfectly. Can ayone help me and explain why this is and what I need to change on the server to get it to work.

Have you run the connection test from another computer on the same network?

where 10.0.0.10 is replaced by the IP of your Win 2016 server
