Currently, on all OS types, the way to upgrade is to reinstall using the same installation instructions that you used to install.

My Media will detect the existing instance and update in place.

We will be adding a repository so that linux based installs can just apt update in the near future.

Hello,
I've followed this process to upgrade myMedia but unfortunately, it seems that the new version is installed in addition of old one :

My Media Servers page :

Code: Select all

Label Local IP Address	Local Port Version	Last Heard OS
raspberrypi 192.168.1.253 52050	1.3.106.0	09/01/2019 à 16:37:26	Unix 4.14.79.0
raspberrypiNew 192.168.1.253 52050	1.3.112.0	09/01/2019 à 19:14:21	Unix 4.14.79.0
I can't select the previous one and the new server installation is "blank". Could you please help in order to get back all my previous config?

Thanks.

Marc

Think we've resolved this via email support?

The issue was that the update was done under a different pi user account to the original installation which caused a blank configuration to be used and thus a unique My Media server GUID to be created.

Solution was to uninstall then reinstall under the original user and the original settings were picked up
