I got really, really busy with other things and only just tried using this and it just works.
It wasn't just a one-day issue either. I had that problem for like a week before I made that post.
But alas, it's fine now.

Just stopped working
When I make a request, Alexa responds accordingly "Playing X from your mymedia collection", but no music is played. It just stopped working out of the blue... no changes and it was working fine a week ago. Are there logs somewhere separate from the systemctl log? The logs in the web server console l...

Re: Alexa Fast Forward - Alexa Rewind
I would also like this for when I space out in the middle of an audiobook and need to go back a minute.

I just say "Alexa, next song" or "Alexa, previous song" and it does what I say.

Re: CentOS 8 installation
I figured it out and hope you don't mind keeping this thread around for others (at least until alien and rpmrebuild are seamless in CentOS 8). I fixed the rpm with rpmrebuild, deleting the following line under %files: %dir %attr(0755, root, root) "/" Since I was having problems with both alien and r...

I'm interested in using docker/podman, but what I'm doing isn't working. If I do: mkdir ~/mymedia mkdir ~/mymedia/datadir sudo podman run -d -p 52050:52050 -p 52051:52051 -v ~/Music:/medialibrary -v ~/mymedia/datadir:/datadir bizmodeller/mymediaforalexa ...it pulls, and a container id is shown, but ...

CentOS 8 installation
I used to run mymedia on CentOS 7. I converted the .deb to .rpm and it ran fine.
Now when I try to install the .rpm with CentOS 8, I get:
file / from install of mymedia-1.3.122.0-2.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64
Just wondering if anyone has any tips.

Audio normalization
I suppose I could ffmpeg all my files (bother), but it would be nice if My Media could normalize the audio across files it's going to play from a playlist.
