I can't find my existing mapped drives within My Media for Alexa on Windows
My Media runs as a background Windows Service on WIndows devices. This is so that it automatically starts up in the background when you turn your computer on and so you don't have to explicitly open up the My Media app every time you want to stream your favourite track. Windows Services do _not_ run...

Playlists aren't imported when I import my iTunes XML file
We get quite a few emails where users aren't able to import their iTunes playlists even though they have apparently correctly indexed their iTunes XML library file. The reason for this can often be where you are running My Media on a pi or other system and have mounted a directory back to the comput...

Allow tracks to be added to 'Now Playing' playlist
When you start playing an album, artist or playlist, My Media creates a copy of that playlist in memory to start playing.
It would be useful if that playlist could be modified by adding tracks to it or changing the order either via the My Media web console or via Alexa voice commands

Alexa, ask My Media to shuffle xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Would be easier to request a playlist to shuffle at invocation time.
At the moment, the workaround for this is:
Alexa, ask My Media to turn shuffle mode on
Alexa, ask My Media to play xxxxxxxx

Play songs by clicking on tracks in the My Media web console
Often we are asked to add a feature that allows you to click on a "Play Now" button within the My Media web console to start playing that track on your Echo device. Unfortunately, this is not yet possible because we cannot PUSH requests onto an Alexa device. Otherwise, rogue skills could start playi...

Multi-room Audio
We often get emails asking for My Media to support Multi-room Audio or to support syntax such as 'Alexa, ask My Media to play jazz music on my Downstairs Group'. Unfortunately, we are limited by the APIs provided by Amazon. They provide an API to play music, however, there's no functionality in that...

Re: Album Numbers
Hi,
We are working on a fix for this, however in the meantime you can use the 'Overrides' feature to remap 1 to one (or vice versa).
Hopefully a fix will not be too far away,
thanks

Re: Command for playing audio books
Hi, Starting in version 1.3.80.0 and above, this is how audio books works: 1. Find the audio book in the Albums view, and open the Album 2. Set the Album Type to 'Audio Book' and press 'OK' 3. Close the Album pop up 4. Now the Album will have a book icon next to it within the Album view. 5. Now just...

Re: Itunes 12.8 unable to run in background.
Apologies for the delay - we've had a lot of issues with the forum due to spam and had to rebuild it from scratch. re iTunes 12.8: Apple have made a change in 12.8 which prevents iTunes from starting without a sound card installed. Previously, iTunes would complain and put up a warning message, but ...
