Files Indexation

Post by marc »

Good morning,
I have some questions please :
-Is there a maximum "folder depth"
-Is there a maximum number of music files AND/OR folders/subfolders
-Is there a way to exclude specific forlders from Indexing, e.g. :

Code: Select all

DISK / MUSICAL STYLE#1 / ARTIST#1 / ALBUM#1
                                  / ALBUM#2
     / MUSICAL STYLE#2 / ARTIST#1 / ALBUM#1
-->  /DO NOT INDEX  <--
Thanks.

Regards.

Nope - although maximum path length is restricted by OS

Nope; we have had users with 100,000s of tracks.

Not currently but we will add this shortly as it's a popular request. Once indexed, however, you can however hide albums / tracks by selecting them on the Songs tab and clicking 'Hide'. This essentially removes them from Alexa queries.

This functionality is now available in pre-release in these versions:

Windows: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bizmodeller/My ... 64-bit.msi
Mac: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bizmodeller/My ... .109.0.dmg
Linux debian 64-bit: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bizmodeller/My ... _amd64.deb
Linux debian 32-bit: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bizmodeller/My ... 1_i386.deb

The docker image at bizmodeller/mymediaforalexa is already up to date with this version.

By default My Media will ignore any folder (and subfolders) containing .mmaignore file. You can replace this (or add to it with other ignore files) using the new option in the Settings menu.
