Hello,
I love the My Media product! and use it all the time...
Unfortunately I recently had to rebuild my computer and was wondering if there was a recommended way to move/transfer all of the "My Media" data from one system to another without having to re-scan my music library, re-import the playlists etc... I also have a lot of Overrides set up as well. Please help!
THANKS
My Media Fan
Jeff

Re: Can I transfer all my "My Media" data to a new computer?
We don't support this as it's easy to cause conflicts this way, but if you really want to try this, then do the following:
1. Uninstall My Media on the first computer
2. Take a copy of the following directory:
c:\Program Files\MyMediaForAlexa (windows)
~/.MyMediaForAlexa (mac/linux)
3. Restore the directory above in the same location on the new computer
4. Reinstall My Media on the new computer.
Please don't restart / reinstall the My Media server on the first computer as otherwise both will report in using the same Media Server unique identifier which will cause a load of confusion!
