My Media - 'Mapped Drives' button missing

Post by tuketko »

Hello.
How can I add network location to "Watch folders"? I found that there should be possibility to add it in settings, but I can't find there anything. My MyMedia server is running on raspberry pi with osmc and I'm trying to add folder located on my NAS station on local network.
Thanks.

The Mapped Drives button only appears on Windows.

For Mac/Linux/Pi installations you need to mount the network drive and ensure it starts at startup. The instructions for these can be OS dependent, however here are some guides:

Mac: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questio ... er-on-boot . (note the example assumes an Apple File Protocol device, you may need to change the protocol to smb: instead of afp:)

Linux/Pi: https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... 175624636/

We'll add our own how to on how to add networked drives to Mac/Linux machines shortly

Once you've mounted them to the OS, they should appear within the My Media interface when you click Add Folder under the mount point you set up.

I really struggled to mount my NAS to the raspberry pi, in the end the easiest and quickest way I found was to download and install a free image of max2play and install it as a simple headless music server. and then carried out an SSH install of MyMedia.

If the NAS has been successfully mounted you add the /mnt/share folder as a watched folder

Hope this helps
