rtRemote Pairing Helper

Post by dougbert47 »

I'm using iTunes 12.11.0.26 and Windows 10 Home, Ver. 20H2, OS Build 19042.928

In attempting to use the rtRemote Pairing Helper, everything works correctly through step 8 below. The rtRemote Pairing Helper downloads and installs, launches, and populates the iTunes Pairing Code just the way it is supposed to. But at that point, there is no device added to my iTunes library, or anywhere at all in iTunes. Is there somewhere else that I should be looking for the device? Please advise! Thank you.

6. Now download and install the rtRemote Pairing Helper utility using the link below. The tool will launch automatically at the end of the installation
7. Click 'Next', and the tool should have pre-populated your iTunes Pairing Code from the Clipboard; if it hasn't, please paste or type it in.
8. Clicking 'Next' will start the pairing process.
9. You will see a new device appear in your iTunes library called 'rtRemote'. [This step didn't happen for me.]
