LG TV Folder view limit ?

Post by mcraig220 »

Does anybody know if there is a limit to the number of album or artists that can be displayed via DLNA? I've just imported my library of 1400 albums / 600 Artists and have noticed that only about half of the albums are listed. The same goes if I try to view by artists.

There's nothing within iHomeServer that limits the number of items per folder. The DLNA client normally sends paged requests to the server requesting data and iHomeServer responds to those requests without applying any max limits.

Others have requested a feature to browse albums / artists through an alphabetical quick link folder,

eg
Music / Albums / [A] / [All albums beginning with A...]
Music / Albums / / [All albums beginning with B...]
etc

Would this be useful for you if your album library is so large?

You say that iHomeserver does not limit the number of albums / artists. Yet when I view these through the LG Smartshare music app all are visible but not if I view them as a "linked device" on the LG. Are there any logs that I can perhaps view to see if there are any errors?
